    According to USA Today, child actor and reality show star Corey Haim was found dead in his Los Angeles home of what police believe to be an accidental overdose. An investigation is currently underway over the death, which occurred around 3:30 AM Wednesday morning. Haim’s mother was with him at home at the time of the incident. Haim is best known for roles in ‘80s films like Lucas and The Lost Boys.


    · Haim’s mother told, “I am a cancer victim and Corey was helping me at home. He was a good boy. I’m devastated by his death.”




    Corey Feldman was a longtime friend and co-star of the late Corey Haim. In a statement Feldman put on his blog,, he said, “This is a tragic loss of a wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family and best friend. We must all take this as a lesson in how we treat the people we share this world with while they are still here to make a difference.”


    · THE FULL STATEMENT! “I was awakened at 8:30 this morning by my brother and sister knocking on my bedroom door. They informed me of the loss of my brother Corey Haim. My eyes weren’t even open all the way when the tears started streaming down my face.     24 CANCELED? According to Variety, the FOX TV show 24 may be ending after this season. While studio executives have not yet commented, insiders are saying the show will be canceled after this season. The official decision will be made in the next day or two.


    CHARLIE SHEEN RELEASED FROM REHAB! Charlie Sheen was released from rehab yesterday and is expected to be back on the set of his ABC show next week. The actor’s rep confirmed to USA Today that Sheen will head to Aspen, Colorado first, where he faces a court date on Monday to answer to domestic abuse charges. He is expected back on the set of Two and a Half Men in Los Angeles on Tuesday after the show took a three week hiatus in his absence.


    NEW ECLIPSE TRAILER! The first trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has hit the Internet. The clip features Taylor Lautner as “Jacob,” Kristen Stewart as “Bella” and Robert Pattinson as “Edward” doing their vampire and werewolf things. Eclipse, the third installment of the Twilight franchise, is set to premiere in theatres June 30th. Hit up to see the new clip.


    ACADEMY RESPONDS TO FARRAH SNUB! The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has issued a statement about leaving Farrah Fawcett, War of the Worlds’ Gene Barry, Bea Arthur and countless others out of the award show’s montage of stars who passed away in 2009. Academy employee Bruce Davis has picked who is honored since 1993 and he told the media, “There’s nothing you can say to people, particularly to family members, within a day or two of the show that helps at all. They tend to be surprised and hurt, and we understand that and we’re sorry for it.” Head over to


    LINDSAY LOHAN TALKS E-TRADE AD! Lindsay Lohan called her mother the night she saw the E-Trade Super Bowl commercial that she’s now suing over, and told her that the commercial was wrong. Dina Lohan explained to the New York Post that Linsday was crying and asked her for help. In the ad, one baby calls another baby named “Lindsay” a “milkaholic.” As we reported yesterday, Lohan is suing E-Trade for 100-million dollars over the use of the name “Lindsay.”


    WALL STREET 2 DELAYED! Oliver Stone’s Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps has been delayed. According to, the Wall Street sequel will now open on September 24th instead of April 23rd. 20th Century Fox is holding the film in the hopes of getting it submitted to the Cannes Film Festival in May.


    COPS COLLECT FOOTAGE! Police in Georgia have collected the footage from the nightclub where Pittsburgh Steeler Ben Roethlisberger and the woman accusing him of sexual assault were hanging out. The NFL Quarterback has already hired an attorney in Georgia, while his 20-year-old accuser has dropped out of college. Head to for more.


    VIRAL VIDEO! Check out this new clip from Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, where Jimmy falls while holding a vodka martini.     Owl City are about to embark on a spring headlining tour in support of their album, Ocean Eyes. The “Fireflies” group will hit the road on March 30th in Boise, Idaho, and will remain out until they wrap on May 4th in Des Moines, Iowa.




    Lifehouse are still going strong with their first single, “Halfway Gone,” off their latest record Smoke & Mirrors, but the band is getting ready for the next one.     Yesterday was the first day that same-sex couples could get married in Washington, D-C, making Maryland the sixth state in the U-S where gay people can legally tie the knot.     It appears a new Kings of Leon album is on its way.     There has been much talk about Amy Winehouse and ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil getting remarried, but could it be happening “within weeks?” According to British paper The Sun, multiple sources have said that the troubled couple will tie the knot in Las Vegas sooner rather than later. A source said that Winehouse “can't stop talking to people about their future together.” Blake has been recently quoted as saying that he won’t get back with Amy until she checks herself into rehab for alcohol addiction.




    Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, the Broadway musical that features the music of U2’s Bono and the Edge, has lost its “Mary Jane”. According to Variety, actress Evan Rachel Wood has dropped out of the show due to scheduling conflicts. When the New York production was first announced, it was set to premiere February 25th, but due to a number of issues, it’s been delayed until late summer with an opening around Halloween.     Anheuser-Busch filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against a company called Baby Beer Bottles Inc. the company had been selling a line of BABY BOTTLES made to resemble bottles of Budweiser and Miller Lite beer.  They were billed as quote, "gag beer bottles for your little drinker."  But a warning on the product website made it clear that the bottles were, quote, "not meant to encourage underage drinking."

    TIGER AND WIFE KISS! According to, Tiger Woods and his wife Elin were spotted kissing for the first time since Tiger’s now infamous Thanksgiving car accident. According to the outlet, the golfer and his wife were seen hugging and kissing outside their home this week.


    LOHAN SUING! According to, Lindsay Lohan is suing E-Trade over the talking baby ad they ran during the Super Bowl. Lohan wants over 100-million dollars from the company, claiming she was insulted when one baby in the commercial calls the other baby, named Lindsay a “milkaholic.” Lohan’s lawyer is stating that the actress has just as high of a profile as one named celebrities like Oprah, Madonna and Prince, and that the commercial insults Lohan.


    WEDDING NEWS! Conan O’Brien decided to follow one random person on Twitter. That person ended up being 19-year-old Sarah Killen, who is getting married in September. Killen told that O’Brien’s follow has changed her life and helped fund her wedding. With the attention she’s been getting from Conan following her, she’s receiving donations from companies to help make her dream day because a reality. Sarah says she and her fiancé want O’Brien to come to their wedding.

    PAPARAZZI SUE! Two photographers, who were arrested trying to snap photos of Bachelor couple Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney’s wedding back in February, are now suing ABC. The photogs are claiming they were roughed up by security guards as they were escorted off the wedding property. ABC owns The Bachelor and aired Jason and Molly’s wedding special on Monday night.     DeNIRO TO PLAY LOMBARDI! According to NBC Sports, Robert De Niro will play legendary football coach Vince Lombardi in a new movie in development by ESPN Films.     The Goo Goo Dolls are poised to have a very busy 2010. The “Iris” band just announced via press release that they will be releasing a new album sometime this year and that it will be titled Something For The Rest of Us. This is the follow-up to their 2006 record Let Love In, and will be their ninth studio album. The group is also heading out on a spring tour in support of the forthcoming release. It kicks off April 6th in Augusta, Georgia, and will wrap up May 16th in Peoria, Illinois.     Lady Gaga is one of the most innovative artists around when it comes to her live show, and it seems that she’s ready to bump it up yet another level. According to MTV News, a rep from her record label said that the “Bad Romance” singer is in “talks about a 3-D concert and DVD in the near future,” after her current Monster Ball tour wraps up. The rep didn’t give any details on what exactly a 3-D concert would entail, or when we might see it. Learn more at




    MTV Games announced that a four pack of songs from Lady Gaga will be added next week to the Rock Band Music Store. The “Lady Gaga Pack” will include “Bad Romance,” “Just Dance,” “Monster” and “Poker Face,” and will be available for purchase as “Lady Gaga Pack 01,” as well as individual tracks on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and as individual tracks only on Wii. Additionally, a special version of Gaga’s “Poker Face,” made famous by South Park’s “Eric Cartman,” will also be available in the Rock Band Music Store next week. The track first appeared in the “Whale Whores” episode which will re-air on Comedy Central on Tuesday at 9:30 PM.

    BROOKE BURKE ON DANCING! Former Dancing with the Stars winner Brooke Burke has signed on to be the new co-host of the show. It was announced on Good Morning America Monday that Burke will join existing host Tom Bergeron to help conduct backstage interviews with celebrities and keep the show moving along. The 10th season of the show kicks off March 22nd and features Kate Gosselin, Pam Anderson, Reno 911 star Niecy Nash and more.


    FAWCETT NOT HONORED AT THE OSCARS! Farrah Fawcett was not featured at this weekend’s Oscars during the In Memoriam tribute to stars that have died. According to the Associated Press, a spokesperson for the awards said that they have to choose who is in the slideshow and “it’s an unfortunate reality that we can’t include everybody.” Patrick Swayze, Brittany Murphy, Michael Jackson, Natasha Richardson and more were honored during the tribute.


    BETTY WHITE TO APPEAR ON SNL! Betty White has confirmed to People that she will appear on Saturday Night Live in the near future. Details about what part she’ll play on the show are yet to be announced. Recently, a Facebook page was created to get Betty White to host Saturday Night Live and more than a half a million people have joined.

    NFL STAR HIRES LAWYER! According to, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has hired the same lawyer who helped NFLer Ray Lewis get acquitted of murder in 2000. The lawyer’s name is Ed Garland and he is based out of Atlanta. Roethlisberger is currently under investigation in Georgia after being accused of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old woman in a nightclub bathroom this past weekend.


    ALICE ON ABC FAMILY! ABC Family has purchased the rights to show Alice in Wonderland on their TV channel. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Walt Disney Pictures film will air on ABC Family in 2012, though the channel hasn’t yet decided whether they’ll air Alice in 3D or 2D. Alice in Wonderland opened this weekend, making 116.3-million dollars in the U-S.

    Reports are coming out of Hollywood that Madonna had a little meltdown at Elton John’s pre-Oscar party over the weekend. According to British paper The Mirror, the party was sponsored by Grey Goose, and Madge got angry when she wasn’t able to get a drink made with her personal vodka preference, Belvedere. A source says that Madonna was “dropping F-bombs like they were going out of fashion” and manager Guy Oseary had to calm her down.     Billy Idol announced a world tour yesterday.     CONAN O’BRIEN SHOW! Ticketmaster is selling tickets to a stage show in Phoenix, Arizona featuring Conan O’Brien. There is no word on what type of set or show O’Brien will perform, but tickets go on sale today to see the funnyman on April 30th in Phoenix.     NO PLEA FOR CHARLIE! According to Radar Online, the district attorney involved in the Charlie Sheen domestic assault case will not accept any plea deal from Sheen’s camp. That means that Sheen may have to go to trail and face his one felony and two misdemeanor charges after an incident involving a knife at Christmastime.


    BABY NEWS! Despite previous reports that Rebecca Gayheart had already given birth, actor Eric Dane and Rebecca officially became parents this past week. The couple had a baby girl and according to their publicist, the whole family is doing great. Head over to for more.


    THE OFFICE BABY! On Thursday night, people who watched The Office got to see “Pam” and “Jim’s” baby girl arrive. The TV couple named their baby “Cecelia.” Jenna Fischer, the actress who plays “Pam,” told that she chose the name after her niece, who happened to have been born the same day she was filming the birth scene for the show.


    PRIVATE FUNERAL. There will be a private funeral held today in Utah for Michael Bryan, the son of Marie Osmond. Bryan died in late February of a reported suicide. Learn more at

    SOMEONE LEAVING DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES! Drea de Matteo is leaving Desperate Housewives in May. According to, the actress is parting ways with the show so she can spend more time with her child and head back to New York. Drea played “Angie Bolen” on the show for just this season.


    SKATING WITH THE STARS! ABC is thinking about doing a version of their Dancing With the Stars show on ice. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the proposed series would be an on-ice version of their Dancing show.     Katy Perry is going to be a Smurf? Well according to Variety, the “I Kissed a Girl” singer has been tapped to voice one in the forthcoming big screen adaption of the hit TV show. Perry will be voicing “Smurfette,” the only female Smurf. Variety also reports that Neil Patrick Harris, George Lopez and Alan Cumming have already signed on to the project, which is set to begin shooting next month.




    What do you do when you’re in the U-K? Well you eat fish and chips of course, and if you’re Lady Gaga and her crew, you get a lot of it. According to British paper The Daily Star, the pop star ordered more than 200-dollars worth of fish and chips while in Cardiff, Wales last week, and, according to a source, has become obsessed with the local cuisine, and is even trying to find the right recipe to have her chefs in America make it when she comes home from touring.




    In an interview with the New York Times, Lady Gaga talked about her past drug use and fame. The singer said that her fans helped her move past drugs. Gaga stated, “It's no secret that I have had problems with drugs in the past. And some places represent to me things in terms of my mental and physical health, so you learn to move on, to preserve what your mission in life is, and my greater mission is my fans." Gaga goes on to say while she uses the concept of fame as a motif in her art and music, she does not like the idea of “celebrity” and how some stars “devour fame.” Lady Gaga just wrapped a tour of the U-K and will head to New Zealand and Australia starting on Saturday.

    According to a post on My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero’s blog, drummer Bob Bryar has left the band. The post revealed that Bryar and the group parted ways four weeks ago and that the decision was “painful” and “not taken lightly.” MCR go on to wish Bryar the best of luck in his future endeavors.
