Movie Trailer Friday

by Matt Z

There are a bunch of movies opening this weekend but only a couple are wide release.  We start with those:

The Internship reunites Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson.  Wedding Crashers hit theaters in 2005 and at last check, it's 2013.  What took you so long boys?  And why isn't this movie Wedding Crashers 2?  Wedding Crashers fans are going to think that's what this movie is anyway.  Fans may want to see Vaughn and Wilson back together again, but critics aren't loving the flick.   As long as we are talking about Owen Wilson, if you haven't seen the movie Bottle Rocket, you most certainly should:

The other movie in wide release this weekend is The Purge, starring Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey.  The basic idea behind the movie is that for a 12-hour period, any and all crime is legalized.    I can't say I am excited for this one but I also can't deny my curiosity.  Critics are being kinder to The Purge.

And here's the rest of the weekend line-up:

He gave us the trash TV format and I for one, am really looking forward to the documentary.

Why doesn't Rapture-Palooza look as bad as the title makes me think it will be???

Tiger Eyes is the first major motion picture Judy Blume adaptation.  If it's well received, I can see many more Blume adaptations to come.

I really want Violet & Daisy to be better than the critical ratings it's getting.  My gut tells me that the critics are probably right on.
