Shazam is already predicting the song of the summer. They were right last year!

by Otis Day

Last year, music identification app Shazam predicted that Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know" would be the most popular song of the summer. Not too shabby. This year, Shazam is saying Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" will take over the "Sounds of Summer" throne.

The Daft Punk track has gotten 4 million searches on Shazam. The app "tags" a song every time you hold up a tablet or smartphone to figure out what you're listening to. "Get Lucky" has also been No. 1 on Shazam charts in 91 countries.

Last year, 75% of Shazam's No. 1 tracks in the USA reached top 10 status on Billboard's Hot 100 in an average of 43 days.

Here's the full list:

1. Get Lucky, Daft Punk

2. Let Her Go, Passenger

3. I Love It, Icona Pop

4. Blurred Lines, Robin Thicke

5. Fall Down, will.i.am with Miley Cyrus

6. Alive, Krewella

7. Young and Beautiful (off The Great Gatsby soundtrack), Lana Del Rey

8. Q.U.E.E.N., Janelle Monae, featuring Erykah Badu

9. Tapout, Rich Gang

10. Interlude, Chance the Rapper
