MUSIC NEWS: POP: HIGHLIGHTS FROM LADY GAGA'S VANITY FAIR INTERVIEW...USING COCAINE....PLUS, GAGA ADMITS SHE'S CELIBATE FOR THE SAKE OF HER CREATIVITY

On being able to trust people:

"I'm drawn to bad romances. And my song 'Bad Romance' is about whether I go after those sort of relationships or if they find me. I'm quite celibate now; I don't really get time to meet anyone."

On her experience with drugs:

"I'm terrified of heroin, but I do a little cocaine on occasion. And when I say occasional, I mean a couple of times a year."

On going "completely mental":

"All I will say is I hit rock bottom, and it was enough to send a person over the edge. My mother knew the truth about that day, and she screamed so loud on the other end of the phone, I'll never forget it."

On her fans wanting to be like her:

"I do not want my fans to ever emulate that or be that way. I don't want my fans to think they have to be bad to be great. What happened to me is in the past. It was a low point, and it led to disaster."

Lady Gaga is known for her sexy outfits and performances, but she actually fears having sex because she thinks it could take away her artistic energy.

Gaga said: "I have this weird thing that if I sleep with someone they're going to take my creativity through my vagina."

Lady Gaga isn't the only pop star to promote abstinence, but she might be the first to say that not having sex helps her creativity.

Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers and Jordin Sparks have all worn "promise rings" to show their pledge of chastity until marriage.
