IOWA UNIVERSITY ADMITS TO A POSSIBLE NCAA VIOLATION...INVOLVING ASHTON KUTCHER?!
Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore may have violated NCAA rules on behalf of the Iowa University men's basketball program!
Iowa athletic officials told the NCAA they allowed two recruits to meet Ashton, Demi and ex-Hawkeye basketball stars Dean Oliver and Reggie Evans before a home football game last month.
Ashton is an Iowa native, Hawkeyes fan and also a donor, so he's considered a representative of the university's athletic interests.
The NCAA has rules against potential recruits having any contact with people like Ashton because of the influence they could have on the recruiting process.
The potential violations aren't that big a deal. Encounters between recruits and celebrity alums happen all the time. The infractions either go unreported or become secondary violations, which carry only minor consequences.
By the way, the two recruits committed to Iowa late last month.
