NIKE PLANNING TO RELEASE A "CHEECH & CHONG" SHOE... (WARNING LABEL: DON'T SMOKE THE LACES).
Nike will pay tribute to Tommy Chong and Cheech Marin with the Cheech & Chong shoe.
The shoe comes out on April 20, the unofficial international holiday for marijuana smokers.
The shoe is officially called the Nike SB Dunk High 420 Cheech & Chong. It will feature a "red heel panel, an icy translucent outsole and marijuana-green laces".
Only 1,000 pairs will be made.
The left sneaker will represent Chong with a red bandana. The right sneaker will honor Cheech with a red skullcap.
Cheech & Chong were cult favorites after they starred in stoner movies like 1978's "Up in Smoke. " 64 year old Cheech and 72 year old Chong have tried to make comebacks with reunion tours. They recently played themselves on an episode of "The Simpsons."
