It was almost unheard of 30 years ago, but straight guys who paint their toenails and fingernails are becoming more and more common.
Two professors at a Texas university say it's really no big deal. They compare it to boys dressing up in a costume or playing with toys normally used for girls.
It doesn't ‘mess up' their gender or sexual identity.
Society is becoming more accepting of things like women wearing suits and men painting their nails.
