A survey from a Web site that deals in legal and medical ratings says Philadelphia has the most-depressed NFL fans among 16 cities that haven't won a Super Bowl.
Avvo.com says Philadelphia, Atlanta and Cincinnati should have the most-depressed fans. The Eagles haven't won an NFL title in 51 years, while the Falcons and Bengals haven't won a title in any form.
Avvo.com said it built its own football depression index based on five indicators: psychiatrists per capita, unemployment rate, heavy drinking, adults with hypertension, and average commuting time to and from work.
It didn't include the Eagles recent loss in the Super Bowl, or losses in four recent NFC title games.
The least-depressed of the 14 cities was Minneapolis, even though their team lost in the final seconds of last season's NFC title game and their stadium lost its roof.
