ACCEPTING BIDS NOW: $1.5 MILLION FOR THE HEARSE THAT CARRIED DALE EARNHARDT SR.

Someone is trying to sell a hearse that was used to transport the body of the late Dale Earnhardt Sr.
According to the eBay posting, the 1996 Lincoln Town Car Hearse is in Huntersville, North Carolina. The seller says the car has "Great NASCAR history," and "This Hearse was the last ride of Dale Earnhardt, Sr."
Both the interior and exterior are gray. The seats inside are leather and the car comes with a cassette player. There are 115,679 miles on the odometer, it has automatic transmission and an 8-cylinder engine.
The listing goes on to say: "On Feb. 21, 2001 this hearse took Mr. Earnhardt from a Huntersville, North Carolina funeral home to his final resting place. This is 100% verifiable to qualified buyers."
(In 2010, the funeral home that owned the hearse sold it to the seller.)
The starting bid for the hearse is $1,500,000. The cost of a brand new hearse is about $90,000.
The auction ends on March 15th.
Dale Earnhardt Sr. was killed in a crash at the 2001 Daytona 500.
