The NFL is thinking about expanding the playoffs. 

The NFL has had 12 teams qualify for the postseason since 1990 with six teams from each conference. 

But Commissioner Roger Goodell says the league will spend the next few months looking at expanding the playoffs to 14 or 16 teams.
