David Petraeus has resigned as CIA Director because of an extramarital affair.
Petraeus said, "I went to the White House and asked the president to be allowed, for personal reasons, to resign from my position. After being married for over 37 years, I showed extremely poor judgment by engaging in an extramarital affair. Such behavior is unacceptable, both as a husband and as the leader of an organization such as ours. This afternoon, the president graciously accepted my resignation."
Allegedly, Petraeus was having an affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell.

Did Petraeus have two women on the side? (Pimpin' ain't easy)
The FBI was already investigating Gen. David Petraeus' biographer, Paula Broadwell, for strange activity on the Internet when they found some emails.
Apparently, Broadwell was sending harassing emails to a woman who was the State Department's liaison to the military's Joint Special Operations Command. That woman is an alleged ‘love rival'.
Broadwell's messages to her: "I know what you did," "back off" and "stay away from my guy."
The 37-year-old who got the emails triggered the FBI investigation. During their investigation, the feds found emails that uncovered Broadwell's involvement with Petraeus.
