GOTYE GETS “SICK” OF “SOMEBODY THAT I USED TO KNOW”

Are you sick of Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know”? It seems Gotye even is. The singer tells NME.com, “Sometimes I feel like I'm a bit sick of it. My inbox, on any given day, has at least five covers or parodies or remixes of it and there's only so many times you can listen to the one song." Gotye still enjoys playing the tune live though.  He explained, “I like the fact that people are still discovering it and I don't feel like it's a noose around my neck. But at the same time, I do wonder how many times you can listen to the same piece of music. I can't think of any song that's ever been picked up like this and I do feel like saying to people sometimes 'Come on guys, there are other songs out there.’”

NEW MUSIC: HEAR NEW FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE TRACK

Fans of Florence and the Machine can now hear a new song from the British singer. The track is titled “Breath of Life” and it’s streaming at NME.com. The tune is featured on the soundtrack to the upcoming film Snow White and the Huntsman. Flo recorded the song with a large orchestra in Los Angeles and says it was inspired by the evil queen in the film explaining, “The queen is just this incredible character; so hungry for life but so dead inside. She's sort of eternal, but inside there's nothing. She's kind of like charcoal or something. She has this thirst for youth and for life, but for what kind of life? This darkness, but she's so beautiful, so it's this kind of juxtaposition between beauty and, ultimately, death." The soundtrack is out officially on May 29th.
