FAITH HILL NEARLY RECORDED POP SMASH “RUMOUR HAS IT”

It sounds like Faith Hill came pretty close to snatching one of this year’s biggest pop hits from Adele. “Rumour Has It” co-writer Ryan Tedder said in a recent interview that when he played the song for Faith before it was released, she said, “I wanna cut that. I’ll cut that right now!” Unfortunately for Faith, Adele had already claimed the song, which could have been a good fit for Faith’s soulful voice. Faith covers “Come Home,” a song by Tedder’s band One Republic, on her forthcoming album, due later this year.
