SAFETYSUIT ARE GEARING UP FOR ANOTHER TOUR


SafetySuit are getting ready to tour again. The guys announced on Twitter that come Friday, they’ll be slinging a slew of new tour dates out there for their fans. The band is still touring behind their 2012 effort, These Times, which has spawned the singles “Get Around This,” “Let Go” and “These Times.” Head to Twitter and check out @SafetySuit to get the new dates on Friday. 

TAYLOR SWIFT HONORED FOR SUPPORTING SOCIAL CHANGE


Taylor Swift is being honored by the Kennedy family for her commitment to social change. The Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights will present the Ripple of Hope Award to Taylor on December 3rd at a dinner in New York City, hosted by actor Alec Baldwin. Past recipients of the award include Bono, former Vice President Al Gore and actor George Clooney. Taylor has a great relationship with the iconic Kennedys. A few weeks ago, she spent July 4th with some of the Kennedy family in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

KATY PERRY AND RUSSELL BRAND DIVORCE FINALIZED


E! News is reporting that Katy Perry and Russell Brand’s divorced was finalized Monday.  Perry and Brand were married back on October 23rd, 2010 in India.  The British comic surprised Perry by filing for divorce on December 30th after 14 months of marriage. 

NO DOUBT DEBUT NEW SONG, FINALLY


No Doubt unveiled the first single off their upcoming album, Push and Shove.  The track, “Settle Down,” debuted yesterday, as did the corresponding music video, which premiered on E! last night. The song features a heavy reggae influence. Push and Shove is scheduled to be released on September 24th and is the band’s first album of new material   since their 2001 album, Rock Steady.

Eric Hutchinson doesn’t just write catchy songs, he knows a catchy video when he sees one as well. The “Watching You Watch Him” singer posted a viral video on his Twitter this week that is of a 32-year-old man having a conversation with his 12-year-old self. MUMFORD & SONS ANNOUNCE BABEL RELEASE DATE


Mumford & Sons have announced that their highly anticipated second album, Babel, will come out on September 25th. The record, which will feature 12 new songs, was produced by Markus Dravs, the man at the helm of their popular debut, Sigh No More. Head to Billboard.com for more.

MANDY MOORE IS GETTING HELP FROM HER HUBBY ON HER NEXT ALBUM


Mandy Moore is working on her next album and is getting help from her musician husband Ryan Adams. Mandy has said that she wants to use Ryan’s studio to record the follow-up disc to her 2009 effort, Amanda Leigh. She also said that she plans on drawing a lot of inspiration from her life in the past three years and that it will be an “intense, emotional” new album. CBSNews.com has more.
