GAGA GOES NUDE FOR NEW PERFUME AD

Late Monday night, Lady Gaga tweeted the print ad for her soon-to-be-released fragrance, Fame. The black and white photo leaves little to the imagination, with the nude “Mother Monster” covered in tiny men who are climbing up her body. The photo was taken by famous fashion photographer Steven Klein, the same photog who worked with Gaga on her “Alejandro” music video. Fame will be released in September, along with the name of Lady Gaga’s much anticipated next album.

DEMI LOVATO DISCUSSES HER SELF-MUTILATION
Demi Lovato is talking more about her 2010 decision to check into treatment for “emotional and physical issues.” In a new interview with Self magazine, Demi describes her problems with self-cutting in detail. She explains, “There were times I felt so anxious, almost like I was crawling out of my skin—that if I didn’t do something physical to match what I felt inside, I would explode. I cut myself to take my mind off that. I just didn’t care what happened. I had no fear.” The 19-year-old actress and singer has since made changes that have positively affected the quality of her life, such as meditation and not using her cell phone as much. Demi adds, “I haven’t used my cell in three months! Subconsciously, it was a crutch…Now I can sit and have conversations with people.” Read more in Self magazine.
RIHANNA LAUNCHES FASHION LINE

Calling all fashionistas! Rihanna has announced that she will be creating her first clothing line for London-based retailer River Island. Rihanna wrote on her website, “I’ve been wanting to design my own collection for some time. River Island is the perfect partner for me to collaborate with…I find London really inspiring and River Island loves to have fun with clothes. I’m looking forward to working with them and creating something really special.”

THE BACKSTREET BOYS ARE BACK AT WORK

When you hear the statement “Backstreet’s back,” it’s not just in reference to the Backstreet Boys ‘90s hit “Everybody” anymore, as the iconic boy band is actually back. While appearing on Good Morning America Tuesday for a performance on GMA’s Summer Concert Series, the guys announced their plans for a new album. All five members will be working on the effort, which they are recording in London. The album release is said to coincide with the band’s 20th anniversary.
THE WANTED COLLAB WITH LMFAO, RITA ORA ON NEXT ALBUM

The Wanted are teaming up with LMFAO and Rita Ora on their upcoming album, due out this fall. The band confirmed the collaborations to BBC Newsbeat, adding that work is well underway on their third studio album, with “loads” of tracks completed. Their latest single, “Chasing the Sun,” is out now.
MADONNA MAKES $49-MILLION ON MDNA TOUR

Madonna is raking in the dough, having reportedly made over 49-million dollars so far on her MDNA Tour, according to Digital Spy. And that’s just in the first 11 dates of her jaunt! The singer has sold over 400-thousand tickets at stops like Tel Aviv and Rome. The MDNA Tour continues through the end of the year, hitting North America this fall.
LADY GAGA TALKS STANDARDS

After Lady Gaga teamed up with Tony Bennett for their 2011 duet, we wondered if the pop star would ever record a standards album. To the surprise of some, she told us she is interested, but it may be a while before we hear a Gaga standards album. Gaga recently wrapped the first leg of her Born This Way Ball Tour, which hit Asia, Australia and New Zealand. She returns to the stage in Sofia, Bulgaria on August 14th.

FERGIE AND PITBULL “FEEL ALIVE”

Fergie has teamed up with Pitbull for the dance floor anthem, “Feel Alive,” which will be featured on the Step Up Revolution soundtrack. The album also features Jennifer Lopez’s latest song, “Goin’ In” featuring Flo Rida and Lil Jon. The film is the latest installment of the Step Up franchise and arrives in theaters on July 27th. The soundtrack is out now.

On Saturday night, Katy Perry threw a roller derby-themed birthday party for her close friend and stylist Johnny Wujek. Perry was seen at the Moonlight Rollerway in Glendale, California with skates and a backpack full of Beanie Babies. According to reports, Perry was playfully throwing the Beanie Babies at other skaters as they went around the rink.
