ONE DIRECTION SHARE A BLAST FROM THE PAST

One Direction are a bunch of goofballs. The British band posted a video called “Spin the Harry” on their YouTube channel and it’s part game show, part One Direction trivia. Even if you’re not a huge fan of the band, it’s worth watching because it’s so silly.

It just goes to show you that when the going gets tough, it’s worth it to keep going. CARLY RAE JEPSEN SCORES NUMBER ONE SINGLE!

Carly Rae Jepsen tops the Billboard Hot 100 with her debut single, "Call Me Maybe," which dethrones Gotye’s "Somebody That I Used to Know," featuring Kimbra, after eight weeks at number one. “Somebody” falls to number two, while Maroon 5’s “Payphone” is at number three, fun.’s former number one hit “We Are Young” featuring Janelle Monae is at number four, and One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful” rises one spot to number five.
- · TIDBIT: According to Billboard, Jepsen is the first lead female to top the chart with a debut single since Ke$ha’s "TiK ToK" spent nine weeks at the summit starting in January of 2010. Prior to that, Lady Gaga was the last female to conquer the Hot 100 on her first try when "Just Dance," featuring Colby O'Donis, shot to number one in January of 2009.
- · TIDBIT: Katy Perry leaps ten spots to number nine with her latest single, "Wide Awake." It marks her 11th career top 10 and eighth straight top 10 single.
LADY GAGA TWEETS PERFUME PICTURES
Lady Gaga is gearing up for the release of her new perfume, Fame, tweeting the first photos of the fragrance on Wednesday. The photos reveal the product packaging along with a description of the scent. The black liquid features apricot, saffron and honey notes. Fame hits stores in September.
JON BON JOVI TO PERFORM SOLO SHOW NEXT MONTH

Jon Bon Jovi has scheduled his first ever show with his new band, The Kings of Suburbia. The group is set to perform at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida on July 26th. According to BonJovi.com, at the gig fans can expect to hear some Bon Jovi hits plus classic rock and roll songs. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com.
FOSTER THE PEOPLE’S NEXT ALBUM TO BE “GRITTIER”
Foster The People are known for making celebratory, upbeat music like their 2011 hit, “Pumped Up Kicks,” but according to singer Mark Foster, the band’s next album will have more grit. The songs are going be heavily influenced by bands like The Clash and The Kinks. Foster The People are currently wrapping up its U-S tour before heading overseas in August.
- · TIDBIT: “Pumped Up Kicks” has become such an infectious hit that R&B star Usher recently covered the song on the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.
KARMIN TALK BEGINNINGS

Amy Heideman and Nick Noonan, better known as Karmin, met at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. They fell in love and after a few failed musical projects decided to work as a duo, and the rest, as they say, is history. Karmin’s single, “Brokenhearted,” will go platinum next week. KATY PERRY DEPICTED IN COMIC BOOK
Katy Perry will be the latest celebrity to have her life depicted in comic book form in the series, Fame by Bluewater Productions. The comic book, Fame: Katy Perry, will chronicle her life from her Christian family background to her start in the music industry through her chart-topping success. Katy’s 3-D biopic, Part of Me, will be in theatres on July 5th.
