JESSICA SIMPSON WELCOMES A BABY GIRL!

Jessica Simpson is now a mom. The singer and her fiancé, Eric Johnson, welcomed their first child on May 1st, a baby girl named Maxwell Drew Johnson. Maxwell was a healthy nine-pounds, 13 ounces, and 21-and-three-fourths-inches long. Kelly Clarkson, Usher, Linkin Park and Nelly Furtado will perform at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas The show will beam out live from the MGM Grand Arena on May 20th at 8 PM Eastern on ABC. Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, LMFAO and The Wanted will also perform at the show.

The outing will also feature Wisin Y Yandel and kicks off in Montreal, Quebec on July 14th, wrapping on August 31st in Miami. Snow Patrol are playing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The British band will be on the NBC late night talk show on Monday May 7th.
NEW RYAN TEDDER MUSIC

Ryan Tedder doesn’t just create music for his band, OneRepublic, he also writes songs with and for some of the most popular artists around today, from Adele to Gavin DeGraw. Fans can now check out some new material Ryan helped write. He worked with Carrie Underwood on her track “Good in Goodbye” on her album Blown Away, and with B.O.B. on three of his new tracks off his latest disc, Strange Clouds, called “So Good,” “Never Let You Go” and “Castles.”
STARR AND STEWART WORKING ON MUSICAL FILM

Ringo Starr and former Eurythmics guitarist Dave Stewart are teaming up to create a new musical called Hole in the Fence. According to Deadline.com, the production is based on an original idea by the rockers, who plan to write songs for it and executive produce it. The flick will tell a coming-of-age story about kids who form a band in a depressed mining town. No word yet on when it will hit theaters.
- TIDBIT: Stewart is in a musical state of mind. He recently adapted the 1990 film Ghost for the stage and it’s now on Broadway and he’s working on a musical called Zombie Broadway.

LIVE: SNOW PATROL, DURAN DURAN FOR OLYMPICS CONCERT

NME.com reports that Snow Patrol, Duran Duran and more will play a show in London’s Hyde Park this summer to mark the start of the Olympics. The show is set to take place on July 27th, the same day as the sporting event’s opening ceremony. Other bands on the bill include Stereophonics and Paolo Nutini.
MADONNA’S W.E. OUT ON DVD NOW!
Madonna’s directorial debut, W.E., is out on DVD now. The film tells the story of King Edward VIII, who gave up the throne after falling for an American divorcee named Wallis Simpson. W.E. received numerous accolades, including an Academy Award nomination for Best Achievement in Costume Design, a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song for “Masterpiece,” and a Golden Globe \ for Best Original Score. The Killers are on track to release a new album later this year and the Las Vegas band is announcing some more tour dates. The group is set to headline the Sziget festival in Hungary this August. Gomez told MyStyle that the perfume is, “Yummy, romantic, and simple.” The 19-year-old will release her fragrance this month exclusively at Macy's, and will debut later in summer at Nordstrom, Dillard's and Ulta.
