(PALO ALTO, CALIFORNIA) The geniuses at Stanford University claim that the human species is slowing de-evolving. Professor Gerald Crabtree says that his research proves that we are becoming more (and more) stupid.
It’s just a hunch. Crabtree says that human intelligence was first developed millions of years ago and optimized by thousands of genes. He writes (quote) “I would wager that if an average citizen from Athens of 1000-BC were to appear suddenly among us, he or she would be among the brightest and most intellectually alive.” He believes we’ve become more stupid but survived due to modern conveniences. Crabtree estimates that “within 3000 years” we may become too stupid to survive as a species.
They made a movie about this concept: Idiocracy
