STING IS FOR THE LEGALIZATION OF MARIJUANA
Sting has written an article on The Huffington Post, calling for the legalization of marijuana. The singer feels America is wasting money putting pot users in jail when that money can be spent overcoming poverty and stopping global warming. Sting wrote, “The ‘War on Drugs’ has failed but it’s worse than that. It is actively harming our society. Violent crime is thriving in the shadows to which the drug trade has been consigned.” Sting wants people to support the Drug Policy Alliance, which campaigns for those jailed for non-violent drug offenses to be released.
