COLBIE CAILLAT AND LADY A WRITE A SONG

Late last week, a big collaboration took place in Nashville. Colbie Caillat and the members of Lady Antebellum both wrote on their respective Twitter accounts that they teamed up to write a song. Lady A’s Twitter said that they “had such a great time” together, while Colbie tweeted that they all wrote “an amazing song” together and that the country stars were “so great to work with.” No word yet on when we’ll be able to hear the new tune.

KATY AND RUSSELL TO WED IN INDIA?

Are Katy Perry and Russell Brand getting married in India? Katy Perry has said that she first become attracted to Russell Brand after meeting him on the set of the comedian’s forthcoming movie, Get Him To The Greek, the spinoff of the popular film Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The now-engaged couple had a scene for the flick where they had to make out, but apparently, it’s been cut. A source told www.ContactMusic.com that Russell smooching with Katy has been replaced by him kissing Christina Aguilera. Get Him To The Greek is set to his theaters on June 4th.

The famous bassist is directing a video for Train for the song “If It’s Love?” MTV News reports that Wentz taught himself how to direct a video by reading a book titled The Film Director’s Institution. Wentz says that he and Train frontman Pat Monahan are “kindred spirits” and revealed that the clip draws from classic videos like Michael Jackson’s “Leave Me Alone” and Eminem’s “The Real Slim Shady.”

TAYLOR SWIFT GIVES BACK TO WOUNDED MARINE

Taylor Swift performed for a sold-out crowd in Colorado last week, with a special guest in the audience – an injured marine from Iraq. A Facebook campaign helped Corporal Evan Stratton score backstage passes and seats to the show. He said, “It was pretty sweet. I got to take a picture with her and a signed autograph. She’s just as pretty in real life.” Evan’s Facebook group grew to nearly two-thousand fans, including Taylor. She posted on the group’s wall, “You are so amazing.”
