CHARLIE SHEEN CHARGED WITH ASPEN ASSAULT. Charlie Sheen was charged on Monday in a Colorado court with felony menacing, third degree assault and criminal mischief. The charges stem from a Christmas Day confrontation that had Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller, claiming he pinned her to a bed and held a knife at her throat, reports the LA Times. The judge modified a protective order keeping him from seeing her and two, who were both in court, embraced. He faces three years behind bars if he is found guilty of felony menacing when he returns to court on March 15th.

 

HEF GETS SUED! Playboy shareholders are suing Hugh Hefner, accusing him of not taking any offers for the fledging Playboy company. According to TMZ, in the past month, Hef has turned down two deals. The shareholders think the 81-year-old Hefner doesn’t want to give up his lifestyle and is making poor decisions. They are suing for unspecified damages.

 

· An issue of Playboy sells for $5.99 while one share of Playboy stock costs $3.14.

 

 

LETTERMAN’S PASS SEND BIFF TO THE HOSPITAL! While waiting on Super Bowl winning quarterback Drew Brees to arrive as a guest on the Late Show with David Letterman, the host decided to toss around the football. However, when Dave fired a spiral to his long-time stage manager, Biff Henderson, the 63-year-old Biff took a tumble off the stage. The New York Daily News reports Henderson injured his knee and an ambulance was called. Biff was taken to the hospital, treated and released.

 

DANE AND GAYHEART BABY GIRL! Actors Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart are expecting their first child, a baby girl, soon. According to www.People.com, the Valentine’s Day star and his wife are excited for the new addition to the family. Dane told People.com, “It just makes sense that I’m having a girl… I don’t know what it is, but I am excited it’s a girl.” It will be the first child for the couple, who have been married since 2006.

 

24 THE MOVIE! According to www.PerezHilton.com, Kiefer Sutherland is on board to star in, executive produce and co-write a feature film based on the TV series 24. According to www.Variety.com, the movie will take the counter terrorist unit to Europe, where “Jack Bauer” will battle the evildoers.

 

REISER BACK TO NBC! From 1992 to 1999, NBC had a hit on their hands with Mad About You, and now, the network will try to reignite some of the series’ magic by airing a new sitcom developed by and starring Paul Reiser, who also created and starred in Mad About You. While there are no details on the single-camera filmed series, according to www.Deadline.com, NBC promises it will be “big.”

 

PROBST REMAINS WITH SURVIVOR! E! Online reports that Jeff Probst has signed on to host two more seasons of Survivor. That means just one more year for him to host the reality show, which he has emceed for 10 years now. Probst said, “It felt like a prudent and thoughtful thing to take a moment and breathe and think, “What’s next for me?”
