EUBANKS LEAVING TONIGHT SHOW! Kevin Eubanks, Jay Leno’s longtime bandleader and sidekick, won’t be a part of The Tonight Show when Leno returns as the host on March 1st. Sources told Extra that Eubanks “wanted a change” and decided to leave the show to pursue other opportunities. While one of Kevin’s rumoured replacements is Hootie and the Blowfish singer-turned-country star Darius Rucker, Rucker’s publicist says there is no truth to that.

NICOLE RICHIE ENGAGED! Nicole Richie and musician Joel Madden have been together for three years and have two children together. And now, the couple is officially engaged. Apparently, the engagement happened a while ago, but Joel just took to his Twitter account Monday night to confirm the news and to thank his friends and family for not spilling the beans about their engagement. KEVIN SMITH STILL BATTLING AIRLINE! Director Kevin Smith is still not happy with Southwest Airlines after he was ejected from a flight over the weekend because he was deemed too heavy to sit in a single seat. The New Jersey Star-Ledger reports Smith blogged about a subsequent phone call he had with an airline rep where it was explained the plane needed the extra seat for an even bigger passenger who had purchased two seats to contain his additional size. Smith claims he can indeed fit into single Southwest seat without a seatbelt extender and he’s willing to put his money where his mouth is. The director challenged the airline to come on TV with him and if the belt doesn’t fit him, he says he will pay ten-thousand dollars to the airline’s choice of charity. Smith does admit he’s overweight, but not THAT overweight.

ANISTON AND BUTLER JUST FRIENDS! Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler are just friends! Rumors have been circulating that the duo, who are filming a movie together called The Bounty Hunter, have been dating, but FoxNews.com says otherwise. A source told the Web site that they are “friends” and “get along great,” but that dating rumors will die out once the film is released.

JOLIE-PITT’S VENICE HOLIDAY! Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were spotted over the weekend on the streets of Venice, Italy with four of their six children in tow. USA Today reports that the family is in town because Angelina is scheduled to begin shooting the film The Tourist in March. After arriving by private plane, the group took two speedboats to what will be their home for the next few months. They reportedly needed two boats – one to hold all of the luggage and the other to accommodate the kids.

TORI SPELLING TO PEN CHILDREN’S BOOK! According to Entertainment Weekly, Tori Spelling is working on her first children’s book. The author of two bestsellers, sTORI Telling and Mommywood, is currently working on Presenting...Tallulah­ – which is about a little girl who hates being told what she can’t do. GOSSIP GUY TO DIVORCE! Gossip Girl actor Matthew Settle, who plays “Rufus Humphrey” on the show, is heading for a divorce. According to Us Magazine, the actor has been parading around New York City’s fashion week without his wedding ring and took a mystery lady to a party the day before Valentine’s Day. Settle and his wife, Naama, have an 11-month-old daughter together named Aven. Matthew married Naama in 2006.

MATHEW KNOWLES’ ALLEGED BABY! TMZ has posted pictures of the alleged love child of Mathew Knowles. Beyonce’s dad and manager has adamantly denied being the biological father and is currently facing a paternity suit from the mother of the child, Alexsandra Wright.
