‘80s POP STARS IN A NEW SYFY MOVIE

 

Hold onto your 1980’s hat, because this story might just blow you away. Pop rivals Debbie Gibson, who had a hit song with “Foolish Beat” in 1988, and Tiffany, who’s 1987 pop smash was called “I Think We’re Alone Now,” will both star in a new Syfy channel movie called Mega Python vs. Gatoroid (Yes, that’s the made-for-TV movie’s real title). Debbie will play an over-enthusiastic animal-rights activist, while Tiffany will play a park ranger in the flick. BLINK-182 RECORDING NEW ALBUM THIS FALL

 

According to bassist Mark Hoppus, Blink-182 will begin recording a new album in September. Hoppus announced the news via his website, www.HiMyNameisMark.com. He says they won’t be playing any more live shows in 2010 after their appearance at the Epicenter Twenty Ten on September 25th and 26th as they will be recording the follow-up to 2003’s self-titled album.
