GAGA CLEANS UP AT WORLD MUSIC AWARDS

 

Lady Gaga cleaned up at the World Music Awards, which took place Tuesday night in Monte Carlo, Monaco. According to www.AceShowBiz.com, the pop star took home five gongs, as she won for Best Selling Artist From America, Best Single, Best Album, Best Pop/Rock Artist and Best New Artist. Other bands taking home multiple awards included U2 and the Black Eyed Peas.

 

GLEE GOES GAGA NEXT WEEK!

 

Next week is the episode that all fans of Glee have been waiting for. Tuesday night’s show will feature the music of Lady Gaga. Glee airs Tuesday nights at 8 PM on FOX.

MICHAEL FRANTI SIGNS WITH A NEW LABEL

 

Michael Franti has a new album in the works, and it appears that it will be released by EMI/Capitol Records. ORIANTHI ALBUM RERELEASE

 

Orianthi is set to rerelease her hit debut album Believe. KATY PERRY TEAMS UP WITH CW

 

Katy Perry is all set to be today’s headlining performer at the CW’s upfronts at Madison Square Garden. According to the New York Post, the pop star will be performing her new single “California Gurls” at the “World’s Most Famous Arena,” as the tune has been chosen to be the network’s “official theme song for the summer.”

 

PBS SOUNDTAGE BACK WITH TRAIN, PHIL COLLINS AND MORE

 

The critically acclaimed series PBS Soundstage is going to be rocking all summer long. It was just announced via press release that some of the biggest names in music including Train, Phil Collins, O.A.R. and Sheryl Crow will be filming episodes for the network in New York City, beginning with Train on June 9th. LILITH FAIR TICKET SALE ARE “PRETTY SOFT”

 

Lilith Fair is right around the corner, but how are tickets to the festival selling? According to Billboard, founder Sarah McLachlan said that sales are “pretty soft” at the moment, and that there have been complaints about ticket prices.
