GAGA & BEYONCE HIT TWO-MILLION DOWNLOADS
Lady Gaga has made history yet again. According to www.agaDaily.com, the pop star’s song “Telephone,” which features Beyonce, has surpassed two-million paid downloads, making it the first all-female collaboration to do so in the digital era. This also gives Gaga her sixth tune to be downloaded over two-million times, which sees her join the Black Eyed Peas as the only two acts to accomplish this feat as lead artists.
THE SCRIPT WANT TO GET NEW MUSIC OUT
The Script are performing this morning on the Today Show’s concert series in New York City. The Irish rockers spoke to USA Today about where they are on their second album, the follow-up to their hit self-titled debut. GLEE TO HAVE ANOTHER MADONNA EPISODE
The news for Glee fans just keeps getting better and better. Creator Ryan Murphy told Access Hollywood that they will indeed be doing a sequel to their hit Madonna episode. He couldn’t say the exact date that the show would air, but did confirm that it would most likely be next season. Murphy also proceeded to call Madge “the muse” of their program. Taylor WINS BMI Pop Song of the Year
Taylor Swift's "Love Story" was named Song of the Year at the BMI Pop Awards during a gala ceremony in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The award recognizes the song for receiving the most airplay during the past year. At 20, Taylor is the youngest songwriter to receive the prestigious honor.
MUSE BASSIST EXPECTING BABY
Muse bassist Chris Wolstenholme and his wife Kelly are expecting a baby this November. Because of the baby’s arrival, Muse have rearranged some of their fall U-S tour dates to accommodate the new addition. The shows on November 2nd and 3rd have been canceled, with a promise from the band that those dates will be rescheduled. LILY ALLEN IS HONORED
Even though Lily Allen is getting ready to quit music, she’s still picking up awards on her way out of the business. According to Reuters, the singer-songwriter picked up three Ivor Novello Awards in the categories of Best Music, Best Lyrics, and Most Performed Work, all for her song “The Fear.” Allen was reportedly “teary-eyed” as she accepted her awards.
LADY ANTEBELLUM SINGS FOR SIMS 3
Lady Antebellum recently recorded a special version of their hit “Need You Now” for The Sims 3. The trio recorded the song in Simlish, which is the language spoken on the Sims game. JO BROS GET STUCK IN ELEVATOR
The Jonas Brothers had quite the scare earlier in the week. According to the New York Post, after their concert at The Grove in Los Angeles, the Disney stars were stuck in an elevator for nearly an hour. A source said that the brothers thought it was funny at first, but started to get worried after about 30-minutes. Apparently the elevator was stuck between floors and the guys were able to squeeze out after the doors were pried open.
MILEY CYRUS JEWELRY IS BAD FOR KIDS
Miley Cyrus-brand jewelry has been tested and found to have high levels of cadmium, which can lead to bone softening and kidney failure. And according to the Associated Press, Wal-Mart is still continuing to sell it.
