GAGA ANNOUNCES ALBUM TITLE

 

Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards, Lady Gaga announced the name of her highly anticipated next album. While on stage accepting the award for Video of the Year, the pop star told the crowd that the project will be titled Born This Way, and then went on to sing a few lines of the title track. Lady Gaga is teaming up with Coty to release multiple fragrances under her name. According to www.WWD.com, the first women’s scent is set to his shelves in the spring of 2012.

 

MIKE POSNER AND THE POLICE

 

Recording your debut album is never easy, especially when you keep getting hassled by the police. Mike Posner told www.BangShowBiz.com that while working on early demos for his album 31 Minutes to Takeoff at Duke University in North Carolina, neighbors would complain about the volume of the music he was making and cops came to his room “countless times” to ask if he was “making all that noise.” 31 Minutes to Takeoff is out now.

 

HOW DOES KATY PERRY STAY IN SHAPE?

 

How does Katy Perry manage to stay in such amazing shape? Well the pop star is revealing some of her secrets. According to www.ContactMusic.com, the “Teenage Dream” singer said that she likes to “skip rope” for exercise. She also said that she maintains a healthy diet which includes plenty of “greens” and no fast food.

 

DAVID COOK TAKES IN TENNIS

 

We reported yesterday that Rob Thomas had been checking out the U-S Open in Queens, New York over the weekend, but he wasn’t the only singer-songwriter to do so. David Cook performed “America the Beautiful” before the final match on Monday, and wrote on his Twitter account that he got to meet tennis player Rafael Nadal. MARK McGRATH SPEAKS ABOUT FATHER’S DEATH

 

2010 has been a year of ups and downs for Sugar Ray frontman Mark McGrath. The “Fly” singer became the father of twins in April and then his father passed away just last month. But it seems that McGrath has come to terms with everything, as he told www.PopEater.com, “I see my dad in my twins now and it's like the circle closing.”

 

BRANDON FLOWERS SAY KILLERS ARE ON “VAGUE” HIATUS

 

Brandon Flowers’ solo album, Flamingo, came out today, but what’s the status of his full time job as frontman for The Killers? Flowers told NME that the guys in the band want to take a break and are being “vague” as to how long that hiatus will be.
