JOHN MAYER QUITS TWITTER

 

People on Twitter are going to have one less celebrity to follow. That’s because John Mayer has closed his account on the social networking site. According to Comcast.net, a spokesperson for the singer-songwriter said that it’s because his recent Battle Studies tour is “now at a close” and that he’s planning a “return to the studio.” Fans of Mayer can still keep up to date with him through his blog, which can be found at www.JhnMyr.Tumblr.com.

 

GAGA TO BECOME A MINISTER?

 

Might Lady Gaga the pop star soon become Lady Gaga the minister. According to British paper the Daily Star, a source said that the “Bad Romance” singer has “completed virtually all of the coursework” to become ordained, and that she wants to be able to perform marriages for her gay fans. The source stressed that this “isn’t a gimmick” as she has a “very strong belief system and has embraced God since she was a little girl.”

 

GAGA GETS A NEW TATTOO

 

Lady Gaga revealed that the title of her new album will be Born This Way, and it seems that the pop star has already had the words tattooed on her body. According to Perez Hilton, Gaga was spotted with some new ink of a unicorn on her upper thigh with the phrase “Born This Way” wrapped around its horn.

P!NK HAS BIRTHDAY DRAMA

 

P!nk had a pretty crazy weekend celebrating her 31st birthday. According to People, the pop star and husband Carey Hart went camping outside of Santa Barbara, California. And although a source says that they “seemed to have an amazing weekend,” it wasn’t without some drama. The website reports that there we complaints about the couple playing their music too loud, and that they were asked to leave the campsite. P!nk later wrote on Twitter that she and her husband are the only two that “can get kicked out of a campground.”

 

JASON DERULO CONTEST

WILL.I.AM RESPONDS TO BLACKFACE AT VMA’s

 

During the 2010 VMA pre-show, will.i.am literally jumped on stage with Nicki Minaj wearing all black. The Black Eyed Pea wore black face paint to match his all black outfit, which many felt was blackface and inappropriate. On Twitter, he responded with “just because I wear all black including head mask as expression and emphasize my outfit, it shouldn’t be looked at as racial…Let go of the past. There are far more important things to bark about. (Jobs, health, education) not a black man wearing all black everything…Are you guys serious?”

 

BRANDON FLOWERS EXPECTING ANOTHER BABY

 

He put out his debut solo album this week and now, Brandon Flowers has more to celebrate. He and wife Tana are expecting another baby. The Killers singer and his wife have two kids already, three-year-old Ammon and 13-month-old Gunnar. Flowers’ new album is titled Flamingo and it’s out now.

 

JORDIN SPARKS ESCAPES PITBULL ATTACK

 

American Idol alumna Jordin Sparks is currently nursing a bruised leg after a run-in with a pitbull terrier this past weekend. According to the www.SingersRoom.com, Sparks reportedly took her pet pooch to a New York City park on Sunday so it could play with other dogs, but an untrained pitbull ruined the outing when it ran up to Sparks and locked its jaw around her leg. Sparks has a small bruise from the incident, but thankfully the dog bite did not break her skin.

 

PARAMORE AND MORE TRIBUTE TO LORETTA LYNN

 

Paramore are fresh off the VMA stage and are showing up in an unlikely place. The band is featured on a tribute album honoring Loretta Lynn. Hayley and the boys join Kid Rock, The White Stripes and more in honoring the singer’s 50 year career. Coal Miner’s Daughter: A Tribute to Loretta Lynn is out on November 9th.
