The sister of a Target worker in Vernon Hills, Illinois started an online petition to keep the store from opening on Thanksgiving night.
Target announced it will be opening at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving to start the Black Friday deals early.
The woman says that her brother enjoys his position at Target and has no plans to leave the job but last year he had to leave Thanksgiving early and this year he won't be able to make it at all.
She started an online petition Change.org and it already has quite a few signatures.
Here's my problem. Read the petition. It starts with the words "I'm not complaining about being a minimum wage worker." Why say that if you're not complaining? I never would have thought you were until you said that. Now I think you may be? It's like when my son comes out of the kitchen and says "I didn't eat a cookie." Well...I never mentioned it, but I'm pretty sure you must have. Otherwise why would you even bring it up? Huh?
Is this a bad thing that stores are opening Thanksgiving day for "Black Friday" deals?
