Former "Facts of Life" star Lisa Whelchel has the West Nile virus.

The actress is currently on "Survivor: Philippines" tweeted that a doctor just called with blood test results and she has the virus. 

The virus is spread through mosquitos but Whelchel didn't say whether she got it while filming the CBS reality competition.

She will continue to compete on the show and expects to fully recover.
