Did you know that it's National Martini Day? I didn't until now, but I'm glad I figured it out.
Every once in awhile I do enjoy a vodka dirty martini but that's on a rare occasion as they can be a bit too much for most people's taste buds. So I went in search of a little sweeter martini to enjoy today and I found this great recipe for a Raspberry Champagne Martini.
Careful though! They taste so delicious that you might forget what's in it.
Raspberry Champagne Martini
3 ounces champagne, chilled
3 ounces vodka, top shelf
2 tablespoons raspberry puree
2 fresh raspberries
1 Add 1 tablespoon of raspberry puree into the bottom of each of 2 well chilled martini glasses.
2 Shake vodka in a cocktail shaker filled 3/4 full of cracked ice
and strain vodka into each glass, dividing equally and taking care not
to disturb the raspberry puree.
Gently add champagne to each glass and garnish each with a raspberry or other type of fruit. Enjoy!
