(Hibbing, MN)  --  Eden Prairie is Minnesota's American Legion baseball champion after drilling Eagan 28-5 in yesterday's championship game at Al Nyberg Field in Hibbing.  Eden Prairie catcher Matt Halloran had a single, a double and two home runs in the win and earned the tournament's most valuable player award.  Next up for Eden Prairie is a spot in the Central Plains region in Blue Springs, Missouri, while Eagan heads to the Great Lakes regional in Matoon, Illinois.  Both regionals start on Thursday.  All regional winners qualify for the American Legion World Series, starting August 13th in Spokane, Washington.
