(Holland Twp., MI - WHTC News) - Ottawa County Health Department officials on Saturday lifted a public health advisory on the waters of Lake Michigan off of Holland State Park. This after test results showed E. coli numbers "significantly" back below maximum state safe standards, according to the department. The caution was placed on Friday after tests showed elevated numbers. Those numbers were not high enough to warrant a no-body contact advisory, but were high enough to cause concern about possible bacteria-borne symptoms. Officials added that bacterial levels have been fluctuating recently at various locations throughout the county. For updates on the situation, go to www.miottawa.org/beachwatch
