HASTINGS -- A weekend drinking binge has landed a Hastings man back in jail. Officials say they found 27-year-old Troy Hill passed out in the street next to a bicycle in the 200-block of South Michigan Avenue. He wasn't hurt, but police say he smelled like alcohol and a quick check of his blood alcohol level came back at over five times the legal limit.
He was arrested for having been drinking as it was a violation of the terms of his parole. He was tossed back into the Barry County Jail where he is being detained at the request of the Department of Corrections on that parole violation.
