(Detroit, MI)  --  The legalization of marijuana in the city of Detroit will be on the ballot in November after the Detroit Elections Commission certified petitions.  Over six-thousand signatures were turned in to place the initiative on the ballot.  Detroit City Council can either pass the initiative into law within 30-days, or it will be voted on in November.  Supporters of the petition say it will help law enforcement to focus on violent crime rather than on marijuana users.
