(Duluth, MN)  --  It looks like better days are finally returning to the twin ports of Duluth and Superior.  With three months left of the shipping season, cargo traffic is up 25-percent over last year -- one of the worst years in recent memory.  The Duluth Port Authority's Adele Yorde (YOR'-dee) says once the elections are over perhaps people's confidence will be reinstated a bit and consumer buying will go up.  Yorde says grain shipments saved the day for the Twin Ports this season.  A poor crop in Russia meant more demand for U-S grain and a lot of that flowed through Duluth-Superior.
