(Elk River, MN) -- The executive director of the Minnesota State High School League claims he doesn't know how often hazing happens in schools. Dave Stead [[ sted ]] says a state law on harassment passed in 1990 and hazing was added to it 1998. Stead says the reason the hazing involving the Elk River football team made the news is because the school board chose to go public. The Elks lost to Becker Thursday night, 41-8, in their first game of the season without nine players and five coaches.
