(Murfreesboro, TN)  --  Jon Hoese scored three rushing touchdowns to lead Minnesota to a 24-17 win over the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders at Floyd Stadium.  Duane Bennett registered a staggering 187 yards rushing on 30 attempts for a team that placed 111th in the nation last year in rushing with a mere 99.5 yards per game.  Quarterback Adam Weber hit on 10-of-17 passing for 150 yards for Minnesota in the season-opening win.  Minnesota will open the home portion of its schedule against South Dakota a week from Saturday.
