BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) -- He was a suspect from the beginning in a double murder on the Kellogg Community College campus 6 years ago. Now they plan to charge him.

Now Elliott Patterson has been named in warrants accusing him in the shooting deaths of 17-year-old Antwain Carmouche and 20-year-old Clova Keyes. They both died from multiple gunshot wounds as they sat in a car in the parking lot of the college in March of 2004. . A third person in the car, 24-year-old Eric Wanzer survived despite also being shot multiple times.

Patterson is currently doing time in the state prison system for drugs. Police aren’t saying how they were finally able to put their case together. He is charged with two counts of open murder, robbery, several gun felonies and being a habitual offender.
