LANSING, Mich (WLMI) Voting continues today for GM workers at the Delta Township Assembly Plant. At issue—SHOULD UAW Local 602 authorize a strike if contract negotiations with the automaker continue to lag. The union has been hammering out a new contract for five months—working conditions continue to be the main sticking point. Union officials say they have no immediate plans to strike—the vote just gives them the authority to do so, if necessary. Local 602 has about 35-hundred workers.
