GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WTAQ) - A Grand Chute police officer and two others were taken to the hospital Friday morning after a crash in Outagamie County.
The officer, Staff Sergeant Todd Zolkowski, and the other victims were treated and released. Their injuries are said to be non-life threatening.
The crash happened around 5:15 a.m. on northbound Highway 41 near Prospect Avenue.
Grand Chute police say Zolkowski was responding to a vehicle in a ditch, when his squad car was hit by another vehicle. Zolkowski and the person he was helping, a 42-year-old Appleton woman, were inside his car when the crash happened.
Police say a vehicle driven by a 52-year-old Neenah man lost control on the ice-covered roadway.
