MINNEAPOLIS, MN (KDAL) - Delta Airlines has announced that they will end air service to five Minnesota cities. Flights to and from Hibbing, International Falls, Thief River Falls, Brainerd and Bemidji would come to an end. Senator Amy Klobuchar has sent a letter to Delta CEO Richard Anderson asking that the company reconsider the decision saying the service is a "lifeline for tourists and businesses alike". The airline says flights to those cities and 19 others around the country are largely unprofitable and they are losing around 14 million dollars a year.
