fatal crash
An accident that caused multiple deaths shut down State Road 58 near Odon for about 6 hours yesterday. Indiana State Police say it happened on Monday around 11:30am between North Daviess High School and Odon, In. Officials say 39 year old Jerri Davis’s minivan had run out of gas. She was getting assistance from her mother 56 year old Paula Young, who had pulled up behind the stalled vehicle in her own minivan, and Good Samaritan 74 year old Lester Blair from Elnora. That’s when a dump truck driven by 49 year old Jeffrey Wolford of Bloomington crashed into the two minivans killing all three people. The truck driver was sent to Daviess County Hospital where he was treated for his injuries and released. The investigation into the deadly crash is ongoing.
