ELY, MN (KDAL) - One of the black bears involved in a long-term study at the North American Bear Center near Ely has been missing since last Wednesday and some fear she may have been shot by a hunter.  The bear named "Hope" gained worldwide attention after thousands watched her birth on the internet.  She was not wearing a radio collar that might have helped to identify her as part of the ongoing research program.
