Cold Spring, MN (KDAL) - The murder of a police office in Cold Spring, MN last month is fast becoming a cold case. It turns out that the partner who responded to the report of a suicidal man with slain officer Thomas Decker, was a part time rookie who froze in his tracks when the fatal shots were fired.
According to new information the other officer "froze" instead of going after the shooter. Sources say that the officer in question has been unable to provide any information or a valid description of the suspect.
The man that the police were checking on was arrested, but released due to a lack of evidence.
