Minnesota Department of Transportation officials will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony this afternoon for the newly-renovated Highway 210 bridge over the St. Louis River at Thomson. The ceremony will take place at 3:30 p.m. The bridge's facelift had just begun in June before flood damage set back the renovation and ended up adding a little more work. There is now a smaller, adjacent bridge, in addition to the Highway 210 bridge. The bridge opened to traffic on Wednesday, but officials said motorists still cannot drive through the entirety of Jay Cooke State Park because of a washout farther on.
