Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Six months ago Friday Duluth was washing away following a historic flood that started the night before. Thursday Mayor Don Ness and members of the Chester Bowl Improvement Club opened the East Hillside ski hill. Chester Bowl was heavily damaged by the flooding.
Also Thursday the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation donated a grant of $250,000 to help restore flood damage. The money matched other donations creating a fund of over a half a million dollars. Repairs to some portions of Duluth will have to wait until the Spring construction season.
