WASHINGTON D.C. (KDAL) - U-S Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken and Representatives Ellison, Paulsen and Walz have introduced legislation to help fight the spread of Asian Carp in Minnesota waterways. The legislation would kick start the process to consider the closing of the Upper St. Anthony Falls Dam to stop the spread of the invasive species further north. The legislation would direct federal agencies to partner with Minnesota in those efforts. Governor Mark Dayton and the state DNR support the legislation.
