DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The 14 mile section of the WIllard Munger State Trail between Carlton and West Duluth has reopened for limited use according to the Minnesota DNR. That area of the trail was damaged during the flooding in June. Use will be limited to pedestrian traffic and winter snowmobile use. The DNR cautions bicyclists and inline skaters about temporary gravel repairs and long term pavement repairs still need to be completed.
