DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The National Weather Service says big changes are coming in the weather on Thanksgiving afternoon as strong winds and accumulating snow will hit most of northern Minnesota north of the Twin Ports. Snowfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches are expected along the international border areas and 2 to 5 inches on the Iron Range and Arrowhead. The combination of snow and blowing snow could make travel difficult later Thursday in the advisory areas of the state and much colder air will drop wind chills into the single digits. Lake effect snows could impact the snow belt areas of the South Shore of Lake Superior later Thursday night and Friday.
