DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The Minnesota State Patrol will team up with 400 other law enforcement agencies in the state for a concentrated effort to identify and arrest impaired drivers. The December Drunk Driving Enforcement wave will target special events and Holiday parties in regions around the state. Last year, Minnesota recorded 136 alcohol related traffic deaths and the State Patrol's Sgt. Curt Mowers says we all need to work together to make impaired driving socially unacceptable. Overall, males and young drivers are over represented in alcohol related crashes and account for a larger share of the fatalities.
